Name Change and Taxes Question
I recently legally changed my name to my married name (after 3 years of marriage and now the birth of our son - LOL).
My question is, my W-2 from work and all of my other tax documents are still in my maiden name. Can I file my taxes electronically, or do they have to be submitted on paper because of the name difference?
Thanks so much! I tried to research this on the IRS website, and I am not being successful!

Re: Name Change and Taxes Question
You should be fine. Whatever your legal name is with the SSA is what you need to have on your taxes, and the income that is reported under your maiden name will now be associated with the married one.
E-file away!
