Name change Question- Need Help ASAP
I have the morning off so I want to start the name change process (finally- after 9 months... )
Can I go to the social security office first or do I have to do DMV first? the SS office is right around the corner and would make lifer much easier.

Go to ssa.gov and then to "forms and publications" to get the paperwork you need and fill it out before you go there.
I did this, and it saved a lot of time at the window. The clerk appreciated it.

It doesn't matter which one you went to first but, I went to SS first.
Definitely fill out the forms before you go to both DMV and SS - it saves a good amount of time.
Bring your marriage license - not a copy - they will give it right back to you.
Make sure if you own a car that you change the name on your registration as well when you are at DMV! Then - call your auto insurance company to make sure your insurance reflects your new name.
