Nap and sleep schedule question?
DD just turned 7 months and seems to have been transitioning over to two naps a day rather than 3....The naps have gotten longer so I know she's making that third nap up...but here is where I run into a problem. Her naps are normally around between 8:30ish and 9:30 depending on when she woke up for the day and the second one has been around 3:30 3:345 ish and she isn't getting up until like 5:00ish-5:30ish
Our bedtime routine starts at 6:30 normally when we take her up and bathe her and is normally down by 7:00ish (sorry for all the "ish's)
Do I still put her down as early as I have been or do I push her bedtime now???
I feel like since she just napped she won't be ready for bed??? Last night she went to bed at 7, but she's sleeping a little longer today and wasn't sure..

Re: Nap and sleep schedule question?
I can't wait til Sasha naps like this-- but, I would stick with the same bedtime.
If she fights it, then maybe gradually move it back and see if that makes a difference.
For me, the only constant is bedtime-- and regardless of what happens during the day, it's the same-- and she goes right to sleep (usually).
But, Sasha is younger, so that's just my hunch-- not speaking from experience.

Re: Nap and sleep schedule question?
I would maybe push the 2nd nap earlier. DD is on the same morning nap schedule (goes down at 9:30) and her second nap is anywhere from 2-2:30. She starts betime routine at 7.

Re: Nap and sleep schedule question?
Honestly, I wake up my DD if her nap falls later in the afternoon. I REFUSE to move her bedtime and change that routine so I won't let her sleep past 5pm. (She has her last bottle at 7pm and goes to bed right after) Sometimes that means she's still sleepy when she wakes up but I can't let her sleep any later than that or the whole night gets screwed up. She seems to adjust with being woken up so I don't sweat it. Normally I wouldn't wake a sleeping baby but in this case, I sometimes have to.
EDIT - She's 10 months old and been on the same nighttime sleep schedule since 4 months.

Re: Nap and sleep schedule question?
thanks, I tried to push the secon nap earlier yesterday and she wasn't having any of it, I literally tried every hour until it was her normal naptime and she went down...UGH!!!! She did fall asleep like 15 minutes later than her normal bed time without a problem, so not too too bad I guess
