Question about sleep schedule for new mom
I was wondering how all of you got a sleep schedule for your DC. My DS is just over 3 weeks and I know it is too early to establish a schedule but when and how do I do this? I really have no clue and feel like I might "miss the boat" of opportunity to establish one. TIA for any and all information, I truly appreciate it.

Re: Question about sleep schedule for new mom
Well, we don't have a sleep schedule at all and it has worked for us for the almost 20 months of DS' life.
He sleeps when he is tired, sometimes 2 naps/day, sometimes 1. But he always sleeps at least 10 hours a night.

Re: Question about sleep schedule for new mom
I'm sure a lot of people will say this, but we kind of fell into our own schedule. Once DD started taking more consisten naps, I tried to get them around the same time. Now she takes 2 solid naps a day usually around the same times, give or take 20 mins.

Re: Question about sleep schedule for new mom
I think closer to 12 weeks is when babies usually start a schedule. Some will do sooner, some will do later.

Re: Question about sleep schedule for new mom
well, I think the only important thing to do is to not black out the room in the afternoon. let the baby see when is day and night.
DS started getting into a routine at about 9-10 weeks. he just fell into it.
