nap Question with CIO

DS goes down at night now no problem (no CIO). He will sleep from 8 - 5 and then get up at 5. We have tried CIO with him in the morning to get him to sleep later and it doesn't work. He will go to sleep only to wake up 10 minutes later crying again. Chat Icon Chat Icon Anyways, I am home for the next three weeks b/c summer school ended. At daycare this summer he was taking a nap from 11-1. Then he would come home and we would run around and eventualy he would fall asleep around 4 for a half hour/hour nap. Now that we have been home, he has only been taking 30 min- 45 minute naps. Yesterday I put him down at 11 - cried for 5 minutes, went to sleep, then woke up at 11:30 and he cried to 12 when I just took him out of the crib. At the 4 time, he took a 10 minute nap. I don't know what to do with this kid. Any suggestions?

During the weekends, when I was working, we are usually busy doing things so most of the time, he naps in the car. Any suggestions? This could could be up all day without napping and seriously not be cranky!!!! He is only 11.5 months.

Re: nap Question with CIO

I just try to be consistent and put her down as soon as she shows sleepy signs. Sometimes I get a 2 hour nap, sometimes a 30 min. one. But usually at least an hour. I don't know why some days less than others.

Do you think he is going to bed too late? I find if I put DD to bed earlier, like 7:30 she wakes up later. The nights she goes to bed at 8 she seems to wake up earlier Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
