Naps vs. Bedtime?
My daughter is 7 weeks old and we have been getting into a good bedtime routine the past week or so. I want to start having her take more regular naps since she generally just cat naps in her bouncy seat, swing, etc during the day. If I want her to take naps in her crib, will this confuse her with her bedtime routine? How do you make napping in the crib different than going to bed? (other than a bath, bedtime story, etc.)

Re: Naps vs. Bedtime?
i believe at that age my DD was going down for a nap about 1.5 hours after she last woke up. this created a good schedule for us and i knew when she was tired which helped in putting her down for a nap. i did have a nap routine which i still follow now (she is 7 months). i go into her room, white noise machine, change diaper, put her in sleepsack (used to be swaddle) and then rock her a bit, sing her a quick song and put her down. she never got confused between naps and bedtime. plus, theres light in the daytime in her room. just a warning, your DC may fight the nap at first, or sleep for a short amount of time as they are getting used to the crib. I suggest being really consistent and eventually your LO will get more comfy in their new environment.
