Spin-off to bedtime.. when do scheduled naps start?
First I want to apologize for asking more questions on this board than I'm answering, I feel like a moocher
So many Moms with babies/toddler say "she takes a nap at 9:30 and 2:30" <insert different times for different babies >
When does that start? Right now DD just eats, plays, sleeps over and over and over. Will she naturally fall into a habit of two solid naps a day? Will I notice it? Or do you kind of steer them in that direction?

Re: Spin-off to bedtime.. when do scheduled naps start?
my DD is developing that now at 4 months. i kept logs of her sleep times. i put her down no more than 2 hours after being awake and she sort of developed them on her own. each day was different, but then slowly a pattern started. she is now on a 9 am, and 12ish nap time and her evening one is still working itself out.
her naps also started lengthening at this time. she was an awful catnapper.

haha its okay!!!
you will start to notice a pattern to the day. this happened for us around 3.5 to 4mos. i noticed that she typically woke at 7-730, would nap around 9-930, nap again around 12-1230 and then around 3-330. bedtime has always been at 8.
her schedule is starting to change now, she is starting to drop that third nap so now i am following her sleeep cues and will establish another nap schedule.

I think she just sort of fell into it. I followed the "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Baby" book and that helped me.
