Naptime and attending party

What do you do if your DC is invited to a party right bang slap in the middle of their nap time?

DD is 2 and always naps from either 1.30 - 3.30 or 2-4pm. We are invited to a birthday party in June from 2-4!

DD is 2 and the birthday girl will be 6 as will all the other kids there so lots of noise and I am thinking not a lot of interaction between my 2 year old and the "grown up" 6 year olds.

She could miss her nap but she will definitely fall asleep on the way if we stay until 4 so that could mean her waking up nearer to 6!

not the end of the world just looking for advice.

thanks

I would go to the party and not worry about it. Kids are actually more flexible than we give them credit for, she will be fine. Have fun!

Re: Naptime and attending party

I will try my best to make it to the party at the time it starts. They usually fall asleep on the car ride there and are rather bright eyed when we get there and then pass out a little earlier that night.

My DS has been known to sleep through the entire party though. so be prepared for that too Chat Icon
