Need advice from photogs- Nikon D200
Do you think the Nikon D200 for $600 bucks- body only is worth it? This would be my first non point and shoot camera.

I wouldn't get the D200 as your first non-point & shoot unless you really know photography.
I decided against the D200, in favor of the D90.

Completely agree - I would love a D200 or 700 for work but we shoot with a D90 and we get great results.

I'm just curious, do you know how much the 700 costs? I'm a cannon girl so I don't know much about Nikkons when it comes to cost.

~$3,000 body only
Keep in mind if you're upgrading, you'll need new lenses.

Re: Need advice from photogs- Nikon D200
I have the D80 and the D700.
I don't know what your level is, if it's your first SLR you are going to be lost if you get the D700.
If it's an upgrade, I can vouch for the fact that it's an amazing camera. BUT like someone previously mentioned you might need new lenses as it doesn't work with DX lenses. (It does work with the prime lenses though).
Plus the memory cards are a few hundred dollars as well. So the cost of the body is really just the beginning.
