Need advice on what to do TTC
I'm at a loss what to do for my next step and need some advice. I stopped going to my RE because she told me to lose 25 pounds before we could start any process. I have been struggling with my weight my whole life and I am having difficulty with this, I am 34 years old and I don't want to wait anymore. What should I do? Go back to my RE and talk more about going through the process or contact my OBGYN? I don't know what to do ... Please help ..

Re: Need advice on what to do TTC
What about seeking a second opinion from another RE?

I agree with the PPs. I'm sorry that your RE wasn't very helpful.

Re: Need advice on what to do TTC
I agree I would seek a second opinion. I am pretty overweight and my Dr. suggested I lose some weight but not mandatory. He still continued the treatments and IUI.

Re: Need advice on what to do TTC
Well, HOW overweight are you? Losing even a few pounds can drastically increase your odds of TTC. I know its hard (and it SUCKSSSSS) to lose weight, but it maybe even losing 10 pounds + seeing a new RE would set you on the right path.

There are plenty of pretty overweight/obese/morbidly obese women who get pregnant. Don't be too hard on yourself and don't stay with a doctor that doesn't address your concerns. Definitely get a second opinion and maybe start the discussion stating that you are aware that your weight may be a contributing factor but you have other concerns and then list them.
FWIW, I was pretty overweight when I got pregnant with my daughter 6 years ago even after having a history of hormone imbalance. Weight issues can play a part but it isn't always the culprit.
