need help figuring out market value for oil
is anyone familiar with this? where do i find out what todays value is for oil? TIA

not sure but wondering how to figure it out. we have a capped price and it says that it goes based upon the days market value. i googled market value of oil and only got futures. just wondering how to figure it out or find it.

i see what the price for the barrel is 65.41 but how to i figure out per gallon?

saw that on a website its 42 gallons. what do i multiply it by to find out the market value?

ok becuase when i call the oil company tomorow to ask market value i dont want them to look up my acct and say ok value is 3.49 which is my cap price. i signed 1 month ago when the barrel was 86 now its 68 and just trying to get some idea or guestimate of how the # is generated. thank you for your help.

Hi there,
The oil company should be able to tell you exactly what formula they use to get to their price per gallon. I think Chris may have it for our oil company and I'll forward to you if I can find it.
