Need help with the Droid Incredible
I have had it for a few months and don't find it so incredible. I need help!
I have the advanced task killer but programs are constantly running in the backround anyhow and my battery dies in a few hours everyday. I can't take it anymore.
I will look and no programs will be open, then I will write a text and go back to the task killer and see that a bunch of programs that I never opened are now running. I don't know what to do. Anyone else have this problem?
This phone is driving me nuts

I don't have the incredible, but I have the droid x. What do you have for setting on the task killer? I have the autokill frequency set to "when screen is off" and I have the auto kill level set to "crazy".
Do you have GPS turned on all the time? Bluetooth turned on all the time? Or only when you need them do you turn them on?
My batter will last pretty much the whole day. Good luck.

Definitely check out the GPS. That killed my phone for a while until I shut it off.

I've had the same problems. I agree with Kim and Leese. That helps a bit.
I also fault the location that I am in at work so I charge it every day at lunch for 30 minutes, otherwise it will die on the way home.

I don't have that problem at all - i keep wifi, bluetooth and gps off if i'm not using them.

Thanks. I will try those suggestions. I just opened the task killer and shut down all running programs.. then I went into my Gmail account. Right after I looked at the task killer again and the programs running are Facebook, Stocks, Clock, & Baby bump (app i downloaded). WTH? I didnt touch any of these. My battery is already down a notch and this is the first time using it this AM. It is so annoying

I have the same issue with my Incredible...by the time I leave work its dead...it also likes to restart every hour or so...I'm alrady on my second one and have the same exact issues. This phone sucks.
