Need new OB ASAP that delivers at Stony Brook!
I thought I had found one that actually has offices east of Setauket, but not so much. They have appts east of there, but don't do sonos east of there.
So I need someone that has a sono machine from Port Jeff to Patchogue. I just can't travel every week for a sono.
TIA!!!!!!!!

My OB office does the routine appts and sonos. They just don't do the blood work. I go to sunrise labs for that. Dr reavis on waverly ave in patchogue.
Eta: and yes he delivers at SB

I just switched to Dr. Porte. Has offices is East Setauket, Sayville (where i go) and Rocky Point. Sonos at Sayville. Delsivers at SB!

Did you try Three Village Women? They have a Setauket and Patchogue office. I have no idea if they do Sono's in Patchogue but I know they Deliver at SB. (I have no kids but my sister uses them too).

This is where I go. I've had most of my appointments in Setauket since they have later hours there. The Patchogue office only has doctors part of the week, but the NP there is great. Not sure about sonos though. They definitely do them in the Setauket office.
Just to share, I'm not in love with one of the three doctors. One I really like, one I'll meet the first time next week, and the third is not great. She's nice but seems pretty new and unsure of herself. Crossing my fingers she's not on duty when I deliver. If that's the case, I figure I can always let a med student do it!

One of the doctors there nearly killed me during my c/s. I would recommend 1 doctor there.

Sorry I dont have any advice for you. But why are you already assuming that you'll need weekly sonos?
Ive had 2 high risk pregnancies. The last one was a doozie. But even with my medical history my doctors cant truly predict what is going to happen this time around.
The only time I needed weekly sonos was when I was hospitalized.

Weekly sono's? Everything OK? I had severe hyperemesis and my amniotic fluid was decreasing from the severe dehydration and I still do not think I had a sono every week. Your insurance company is going to love you LOL

I did last time in my third trimester, so I am just preparing myself if I need that again. I know my pregnancy last time was highly unusual, but doctors still don't know why it happened. I am preparing for the worst and hoping for the best.

I go Stony Brook OB GYN ~ Delivers @ Stony Brook. My office has a team of high risk doctors as well as regular ob gyn's. I go to a HR doctor for this pregnancy ~ they do sono's in house. Let me know if you would like there information.  They are located in E Setauket ~ Technology Drive

Just be warned that the reg appts are def not in and out. You will wait... But the sono appts run on time so you will get taken right away. Since you don't see the doc for those, they are on time (reavis is a chatterbox lol)

But to answer the question, I go to Stonybrook Obgyn and so far Ive seen three doctors and two sono techs all are wonderful! It's been great.

I go to Stony Brook ob/gyn and I have to say, I am not at all happy with them this PG. I've been passed around, made to wait for hours, I don't feel like anyone knows my name or bothers to read the file...But they do do sonos in house.

What about the Stony Brook Midwives? They have an office in Setauket and I know they have a high risk ob on staff because of all the ladies going there for VBACs. This is what they say on their website regarding this:
"Midwives usually take of women who are healthy, but are trained to recognize any change from normal. They work in collaboration with a physician should problems develop. In our practice we are part of the Dept of Ob/Gyn and have good working relationship with the physicians who are available for consultation 24 hours a day. We are able to manage with the physician women who develop problems."
I got to their office in Islip Terrace which isn't even their main office and they have sonos there in office so if their least popular office does then I'm sure the rest do in office sonos as well. They have 2 other offices too, Hampton Bays and East Moriches.
