Need new Verizon phone NON-smartphone...
I really like my phone EnV 3 (had it for a long while)
but the last couple of weeks it randomly shuts off for no reason...I am not pushing buttons and the battery isn't low
And I use it as my alarm clock every morning and it didn't go off this morning bec it was off
so I guess it is time for a new phone
BUT my DH wont let me get a smart phone bec he doesnt want to get the data plan
any NON smart phones for verizon you love!?!?! I love the QWERTY keyboard for texting!

I had the problem with the ENV3 also...took it to Verizon and they did some updates, it helped for a while. May go and do it again soon. I love it too!

Same with me - they always give me a new one since its a known problem!

That seems to be a big problems with the En V.. I had a EnV 2 and it did it all the time.
I just got the LG Cosmos.. love it.

I have an En V that is over 1.5 years old. It has also shut off sporadically like what you described, but not too bad, plus I had issues with people not getting my texts so they updated the software. That was about 2 months ago and it's been fine since. When I was in the store I asked the same question you have about getting a new phone that is NOT a smartphone since I only use text and calls. There are hardly any phones like the En V, the salesperson couldn't recommend anything except the latest version of the En V.
I know eventually we will have no choice but to get smartphones and ones with data plans, I bet there will be no options in the very near future.

i have a cosmo i believe.. touchscreen with a sliding out keyboard. DH has a cosmo that is not touch screen (he says it annoys him) but has a sliding out keyboard as well.

I have the Samsung Intensity II and i LOVE it, best non-smartphone i have had yet, i see myself with this one for a long time!
