Need potty advice from BTDT mommies...
Sorry that this is a tmi post but, I guess it goes with the territory
So on the advice of the ladies on this board we went cold turkey over the weekend and its been going REALLY well with respect to pee pee. He basically goes all day pee in the potty. We had one or two misses but, they were my fault b/c sometimes with a newborn I can't get him upstairs fast enough.
The problem is he REFUSES to go #2 on the potty. In fact, he has told me he cannot b/c it will hurt him. I have no idea where he got this from. The first day we did this he held it in all day. I felt terrible. So, now we are doing pull ups and I tell him it is ok to go in the pull up b/c he refuses to go in the potty. I have tried everything - rationalizing, reward incentives from food to trains to outings but, nothing is working.
Do i just have to give it time? I'm just afraid if this sticks with him he may never want to even try!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

as much as the pull ups were a pain in the a s s I used them for this reason. I didnt want my ds to feel pushed so I kept putting him on the potty but if he had an accident we said well just try again. I will say after 2 months in the pullups we are in underwear and totally trained!
