Need puppy training advice

DH and I have a 15 week old puppy. We got him at 8 weeks and have been trying to house train him. FOr a few weeks he seemed to be getting it but going to the door about 2 out of 4 times to go outside. HOwever, this week he has not been going to the door and he has been peeing in the house. DH is so frustrated (and has almost no patients) and I am loosing my patients with DH! I try to take him outside as much as possible, but he still seems to be peeing on the floor. Any advice

It's tough -- I thought Scout was trained and then one day he started going in the house again.

There is a spray you can get at the pet store which encourages your dog to pee where you spray it (outside). Next time, also clean up the pee with some newspaper and then put the newspaper outside where you want him to go (hold it down with a rock or something). WATCH your puppy very carefully - they usually give SOME signs of when they want to go - and then scoop him up immediately (he won't pee on you) and bring him outside tyo where you want him to go.

Good luck!!

Oh and try not to loose your patience -- he doesn't know what he is doing. And ONLY scold puppy if you catch him IN the act, never after the fact.

Every thing Kara said I did and it worked. It took Rudy like 3 days we were so lucky. We used the spray. Never yell. Never scould him unless you catch him doing it. Bringing him to the spot after is WRONG and will not work! If I caught Rudy going in the house I'd pick him up and throw him out the door Chat Icon It worked.

ETA Also when he goes outside make a huge deal .Bring treats out in your pocket give him LOTS of love and pets and treats when he goes outside!
