Need Quick Help - EZ Pass Low Balance???
We are in the car on the way home from vacation right now ...
This is our first time using EZ Pass.
Just went through a toll & the low balance sign lit up.
How low is it when it says that?
What happens when there no more $$ left on it?

Doesn't it automatically replenish by charging $25 to your credit card on file? THat's how mine is set up. There have been cases where we did a lot of tolls and the balance went low, but they charged my cc $25 and there were no cases where it didn't work.

Mine does not replenish. Our said low at $8. If you go below and can't get through a toll, they will confiscate it.

it says on the site to call 1-800-AUTO-TOLL to check your balance 24 hours a day 7 days a week
if you have a credit card attached to it you shouldn't get that message though, unless you card expired
I cant find anything that says how low it is when it warns you. but it does say its a $25 charge if you go through without enough money in the account

you will be fine its just a warning its low and the credit card on the account will be charged soon to replenish it. The charge usually vairies ... they usually take an average on how much you use it and base it on that. I use to use my EZ pass everyday and the replenish amount monthly was about 200

So I realized that it won't be able to auto replenish b/c off that cc theft we had a few weeks ago ... We got new cc #s and never updated the acct # on the ezpass. 
I called them just now to give the new acct # and to ask if they can just replenish it now. She said its computerized & takes 24 - 48 hrs.
There's only $3.45 left and we are only in maryland.
We never thought to check it while we were away.
Good thing we have cash on us.

We've had -$16 on our account before and we still went through. We had an old cc on file, thus automatic replenishment did not go through. it just shows you low balance. I'm not sure whats the limit though before you're unable to go through.

Thats how mine is.
You need to set up you account for this feature if you want it to replenish automatically.
