Need Recommendation OB/GYN near Islip... Good Sam affiliated?
My current OB/GYN, who I have not seen yet while pregnant, is affiliated with a hospital that's pretty darn far from me (Winthrop).
I'm thinking I would like a doc that's associated with Good Sam.
A) Any opinions of Good Sam?
B) Any recommendations of a kick-butt doctor who is GOOD and had a great bedside manner (if that exists anymore...).

Agreed, but there is no guarantee he will be your delivering doctor since he belongs to such a LARGE practice.
I changed from that practice to a one-man office...Dr. Franchina and I LOVE him...he is in Babylon and delivers at both Good Sam and South Side.

ALl of the docs in his practice are awesome...I go to Dr. Squicciarini but Dr. Vuolo and Sampino are fabulous too..(i dont see Ketcham for obv reasons lol)

Dr Ketcham is my doctor and both DH & I LOVE him!!! I have to say though, I love all of the doctors in that practice, I am so happy there!! 2 of my friends go there too and both of them and their husbands love them too!

Love Dr. Ketcham and all of the them!! All 4 of them delivered my baby and they were awesome : )

Dr. Leonard Kagan. He is right across the street of Good Sam. Awesome beside manor...takes his time with you! I just love him...

I see Ketcham as well at Comprehensive Ob/Gyn in West Islip.
Sometimes the PA and the girls at the dest leave much to be desired, but the doctors themselves are great!

I know I'm the one that originally asked the question, but I already agree with you! I took all you ladies' advice and went to Dr. Pillitteri and I already LOVE him!!!

She had the baby last April. I had my annual with her in August. She was back from maternity leave. A woman at DS's daycare also goes to this practice. She had another baby just in Oct. and she said that Dr. Squicciarini wasn't doing OB.
I had an appointment schedule with her at the end of Oct. I received a call from the office Friday before my office. They canceled the appt and said that she had just given notice and that she was leaving the practice and that it was sudden.
If she is still with the practice, it's a development since the call I received. I would be very happy to find out that she is still there.
