Need recs for affordable part time day care
My MIL watches my DS 2 days a week but I have a feeling she may not be able able to watch him anymore. I may be jumping the gun here but I need to be prepared if she's unable to care for him. I'm so stressed and so pi$$ed over the whole situation. Can anyone recommmend an affordable part time day care center?

How old is your DS and what location are you looking for?

Re: Need recs for affordable part time day care
I think Tutor Time takes infants part time. Alot of places don't. You may be better off looking for in home care.

Tutor Time was able to take my DS part time, we were going to send DD there too at 12 weeks but it ended up being too expensive to have two kids there. I really liked them though

It depends on the center - in Levittown it was $275/week for 3 days, $315 for 4 or 5 days. I know there's one in Commack and one in E. Northport, are those close to you at all?

Babylon Child Care Center. (631) 422-1200
They are very reasonable. You can pay by the hour, I believe.

Oh Li..........that stinks!! If I lived closer to you I would totally help you out but Stony Brook would be WAAAAY out of your way. I hope you're able to find something great. If I hear about anything out by you I will let you know.

Re: Need recs for affordable part time day care
I don't think any large centers would take someone for 1 day. I pay $197 for 2 days a week.

Re: Need recs for affordable part time day care
I work at ACDS in Plainview and we have daycare (my son is currently in our infant room!) and you choose however many days/hours you are going to send them. It's VERY affordable! I can't remember exactly what the rate is for outsiders (I pay the staff rate), but I can look it up and get back to you. I know it's really reasonable though. ETA: I don't know if Plainview is exactly the area you are looking for, but I thought I'd mention it!
