Need some creative people here in invite wording
Hi All!
Planning my MIL's 60th b-day party. Want to make it a surprise. We want to do an "aruba" or "island" theme b/c that's her fav place and she goes there every year. Also, planning it for a couple weeks when they get back.
Any invite wording help? Want to do a poem... something like:
She's back from the sun
and ready for fun
Ok, I'm not that creative so that's as far as I got.

How about a parody of "Kokomo" by the beach Boys:
Like instead of:
Aruba, Jamaica
Oooh, I wanna take ya
Do:
Aruba, we'll make-a
Delicious birthday cake-a

While MIL is away enjoying the sun and sand
Don't let her know about the surprise that we planned
Come for dinner drinks cake coffee and tea
It's her 60th birthday party
The party is on 2-27 and will start at 3 on the dot
Park a few blocks over so your car she won't spot
Please call 867-5309 by 2/25 to let us know if you will attend
Looking forward to seeing you for the surprise and good wishes we will send

ooh I love Kokomo!
You could also do a play on the new aruba ads that say something like "10,000 friends you haven't met yet" or whatever they are..or how everyine is so happy in aruba. I'd look at ads for inspiration and maybe mimic one on the invitation

that's great... not sure about the shot part since it's my MIL's 60th. Def wine, but I never saw them do shots.
