need some reassurance

Hi this might be a silly question but I just need some reassurance. I got my second beta's back this afternoon and my hcg levels went up nicely from 185 to 607 but I was concerned b/c my progesterone levels went from 30 to 22 the nurse said this was normal but I'm such a nervous nilly that I just was wondering if any of you knew that to be true can progesterone fluctuate during pregnancy or should I be seeing my progesterone levels rise steadily throughout this pregnancy? BTW I was dx with low prog. levels and have lost 2 pregnancies in the past and now I'm 4w 1d pregnant. Chat Icon

progsterone does fluctuate alot during the day. U can have blood drawn at 9am and then at 1pm and they will off. They dont stay consistant during the day at all. Ur levels of 22 are awesome. I have them fluctuate btwn a 15 and 22 and thats with progesterone suppositories i do 3x a day.

Good luck!!!

Re: need some reassurance

I have read that it fluctuates- 22 is good! If you are really nervous, can you have them test again in a couple days? I have read about people who start out fine but then it drops too low, so if you have been diagnosed with low progesterone I would imagine they would be open to monitoring it closely. Good luck!
