I would not wait. I would do the braces now. You need it. The wedding is "1" day in your life. Those are YOUR teeth.
Then as you get closer to the wedding date see if you want to have them removed and reapplied after the wedding.

Also, I sort of feel like photos are a reflection of that point in time in your life, and that is what was going on at the time, so it didn't really bother me to have them on in the photos.
My feelings exactly.
I am actually surprised at the poll results. It's only braces. Now I guess I understand why kids are so self-conscious of them.
If you're going to feel uncomfortable smiling, wait until after the wedding.

One of my bridesmaids - in her 40's mind you - had to all of a sudden get plastic braces - the clear ones - and they didn't show - I will try and find pics... Are you geting clear or metal?
I HAVE to get metal ones....or ceramic at best.
What color is ceramic?
