after looking at 9 houses yesterday we are ruling out rvc, lynbrook, hewlet area. there was nothing wrong with the neighborhoods but as soon as we drove closer to home to get lunch in manhasset, we both looked at each other and sighed...
i turned over to my husband and said we belong in queens but if we moved out east, Im def a north shore girl lol. i was being silly, but he agreed.
the search continues.

Neighborhood help!
Have you looked into Glen Head or Sea Cliff?
My friends up there drive to Manhasset train station, though...

terrible train line. driving to the train is not an option. we have an 18 min walk to the train now ( we drive) and its too far for us

I feel the same, manhasset is as Far East as I'll go

Are you set on a house? There are nice 2 and 3 bedroom condos in bayside that have a pool. My friend lives on bay club drive and loves it.

Neighborhood help!
my in-laws live in fresh meadows queens and are getting ready to sell their house. not walking distance to LIRR, but express bus literally around the corner.

thats where i grew up! need to be near train
