LOL! I have to buy the bella band because my pants are open half the day anyway. How does the bella band feel? I'm afraid I will hate it. Also how do so many of you know the gender of your baby already )I am so jealous! :P)!? I was just looking at the orginal post and I was shocked. I got my last sono at 12 weeks and the tech said she couldn't tell the sex because the gentials were sooo small and I was 12.5 weeks then. Now I have to wait until October 6th for my next sono...ugh! seems like FOREVER!
Ugh.. I hated the bella band!
I'll find out at my Level II next week. But the list on the first page is everyone's predicitions of what the gender of their little one is.

That is just our predictions I have heard that the bella band stinks but I have never tried it. I just bought maternity pants instead.

I hate the Bella Band, i do wear it everyday because NONE of my pants close anymore, but I still don't like it. It never stays in place and I hate that every time I get up from my desk I have to readjust and pull it down so I'm not showing the office my underwear.

HAHA- Lets see how long I can get away with not having to buy the bella band...maybe I'll just keep holding my pants together with rubberbands and hair ties and when that fails just buy maternity pants. I have a feeling I will hate it too, my friend said she hated it also and couldn't wear it.
BTW My prediction is

you mean you dont like giving everyone a show??
went through one day of the bella band, and I like it. I like that i can wear my normal pants, even if for a few weeks longer. it makes me feel a little normal. It doesnt ride up on me.

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!
So, I went for the sonogram today for them to take a look at the baby and my ovaries to make sure everything was ok( I was having this consistent throbbing pain for the last two days) and it looks like I just pulled a ligament(thank god!) and its not a cyst or anything serious...and I got to see my little angel again..today our angel wasn't lazy and asleep...he/she was actually moving around for mommy today...we aren't finding out the sex, so the tech was very good at hiding it from me...because even though I say I don't want to know...if my eyes see something I can't look away ofcourse ...but I didn't see anything...so I'm well and baby's well and we will see him/her in another few weeks on sept 30th...can't wait!!! I hope everyone has a good rest tonight and don't have to listen to their snoring husband all night like me!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!
Had my monthly appointment last night. we had to wait an hour and a half to get into a room. Then, we saw the nurse who listened to the heartbeat again on the doppler, dh loved every second of that. then she weighed me (9 lb gain in one month) Then we waited another 10-15 mins for the dr.
The dr explained all my results of the nucheal test and everything is normal. she also explained the next tests coming up- the afp and the level II.
She then said my weight gain was perfectly fine that i needed to gain this weight cause my bmi when i first got pg was low. so I am up 13 lbs in 16 weeks. YIKES. She said it should level off soon.
She also showed dh and i where the baby's head was and its back and feet. so cool.
So even though we were there for 2 hours it was a great appointment. She said next time, to make our appointment the last one so we dont have to wait as long!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!
Had my 16 wk appt last night and they took blood for my quadscreen. Apparently my dr skips the triple screen and just adds the other screening in and makes it a quadscreen...anyone else's dr do this?? (I think I may make a sep. post about it) I'm not worried as my ultrascreen results were great, just curious. Other than that we got to hear the HB, nice and strong, no sono but I gained 6 1/2 lbs since my last appt at 12 weeks. I need to get off my lazy asss and get excercising.

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!
Hi everyone!! Sounds like everyone is doing well here and it is so surprising to hear that almost everyone has started feeling something......
Sometimes it stops me in my tracks and I am amazed everytime.....I can't wait for it to get more regular!!
I have my second sono tomorrow.....haven't had one since 6 weeks.....can't wait to see my little peanut!! I can not however convince my DH that I want to know what we are having!!! He wants to be surprised and doesn't seem to be budging no matter what I try....
Ugh!! It is killing me...........
Hope everyone is feeling great today!!!!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!
Hi ladies, I am back from Aruba! Wasn't as much fun as I thought, since I couldn't drink or eat a lot of things. and the HEAT omg... we booked the trip originally for my bday (next week) and before we found out we were pregnant.
Well, note to self, the next time I am pregnant, no more hot places. I felt faint a few times.
How's everybody feelings?

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!
Hey everyone.... I had an appointment on Tuesday with my midwife. I am happy to say I actually gained 2 lbs!!! Woo hoo....Still down from my pre preggnancy weight but my first visit with a positive number.
We have decided our baby is either shy, or VERY STUBBORN, like its parents!!! OUr midwife was laughing because she was playing tag for 20 minutes trying to get the baby to sit still to hear teh Heartbeat via doppler. We were graced with a 15 second show and that was it....the bean was off for more relay races!!!
I am feeling more and more movement with each passing day!!!
We will be doing an anatomy scan in about 3-4 weeks and find out if my mommys intuition is right or wrong!!!
I guess I have to start thinking about registering...UGHhhh I ggot so overwhelmed doing it for my wedding and same goes here........
Hope everyone is good!!!

My sister lives there and they are going through a heat spell. They said it is the worst in years and years. My sister is 32 weeks PG and has to stay indoors all day because it is soo hot and she is soo swollen.

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!
I'm so jealous of all your ladies feeling movement already! I'm 17.5 weeks and haven't felt anything yet If it wasn't for the fact we rented a doppler, I'd be freaking out!
Blissful - My little one is the same way, will not stay still for anything! I'm pretty good at finding the heartbeat pretty quickly, but s/he always shys away from it.
Glad to hear everyone is feeling well these days. Some days I even forget I'm pregnant!
Can't believe my Level II is TUESDAY! Firstly, I'm my peanut is healthy and I won't need to have the amnio next week. Secondly, I'm so excited to get confirmation of the gender. I just hope the peanut cooperates.

WOW i am so excited everyone seems to be doing really well. Im glad the morning sickness has left the building for most of us. For those still feeling sick i hope you feel better soon. I'm 16w6d and i haven't felt anything. Im really starting to freak out and wondering if I should go buy a doppler from babies R us or just wait it out. I dont even look pregnant yet. LOL i swear people must think im lying. My level II is sept 29th and DH and I have actually decided to find out the gender. Seems that the babies great grandfather isnt doing too good and just lost his companion so we want to brighten up his day. We would also like to know for planning reasons as well. I hope we arent going to regret this decision. I cant wait to hear if everyones predictions are right. My predicition is a boy ... but im hoping for a girl because there isnt one girl on either side of the family besides me. Have a great day girls.
PS WHen shall we start planning a our GTG!!

If you do buy the doppler from BRU, check the package first.. I bought one because I couldn't believe how low the price was, and it turns out it's not very strong, and says on the package for use in the 3rd Trimester. I rented one from an online place (don't remember the name offhand)

I was just wondering the same thing.. maybe we should start figuring out if a weekday or weekend would be best for everyone for the GTG? Im sure it will take us a bit to really figure out a day that will work, plus the holiday hustle and bustle will be starting.
LOTS of vibes being sent to you!!!

SweetBabyDreams- I haven't felt anything yet either, so don't worry. I heard first time moms start feeling the baby until 22-23 weeks or so typically. So I'm not worried yet.
Yeah we should plan our GTG soon. What days are good for everyone?
