I have to say the other night... I had some somewhat painful yet erratic contractions and we thought for second...maybe... but NAH!! 
35 weeks here...no sign of dropping and nothing ready yet

so im not a feb mommy
im a january mommy!!! sorry it took so long to write on the feb thread... then again - i feel like the last month i wasnt writing at all..
things moved fast for us.. i took an earlier maternity leave and thankfully delivered 5 working days later!! it was crazy and yes alllll worth it (well maybe not some of the pregnancy days) but the labor and delivery were fine!!

OK girls let's start taking bets. I am crampy, BH all over the place & I have been nauseous & pooping like mad. I dropped again and I am nesting like a MF...
Anyone want to bet on if I go early?
I give you a week! I haven't dropped yet but have all the same symptoms and hoping to go early too. My sister is dropping in this weekend on her way to a conference in Vegas so my DH and I are praying she will be in the delivery room with us He is because he is a wimp and I am since I know it would be so exciting for her and she missed DD.
Pray for a superbowl baby over here

OMG C I am hoping for a Super Bowl baby for ya
I had my 2nd growth sono tonight & the baby is still huge 2 weeks ago he was measuring an average of 2w5d early (they do several measurements). Today he is measuring 2w early exactly, and they are estimating his weight at 6.5 lbs. He is in position and they did a quick cervical measurment and my cervix is definitely shrinking. I have the appt with Dr H on Monday, and they are recommending an internal to see if anything is going on.
It's getting very real all of a sudden

btw i didnt realize that pooping and diahreaa (sp) is a symptom of possible labor. I have been having a lot of that!!!

It is also very common in the last few weeks because your body is changing so much getting ready for labor.

Thanks! There is real hope on me getting my wish- I am already two centimeters dilated and cervix is thining- I could go into labor at any time!
Good luck with your internal- Thought mine might be painful but I didn't feel a thing- just got excited by the grin on his face when he said, any time now!

Hi all - I'm due on the 24th but I'm already 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced...plus the doc says this baby is big so I think she will be here soon...within 2 weeks is my bet!

Wow!!!! By the sounds of things, it sounds like many February mommies are going to be going early!
I have my final OB appointment tomorrow afternoon then off to the hospital on Sunday!

Just had my growth sono and baby is measuring 6lb 2oz. Not dialated at all and not effaced. I probably wont go early.

I have an appt tomorrow (1 day short of 38 weeks).
At the last appt the doctor did not do an internal ...she did one at the appt before that...
She said that I would not need an internal until 39 weeks, so this appt I don't have to have one unless I want to.
Would you choose to have the internal tomorrow or would you wait a week til 39 weeks?

Hiya ladies! Just thought I'd pop on and give a quick update. I'm hitting 38 weeks on Saturday and of course, now I'm ready for baby boy to make his appearance (After hoping/wishing him to stay in for the last 7 weeks!!) lol
He's VERY low and I'm still fully effaced and 2cm dilated. I went for a growth sono yesterday b/c my belly has been measuring big--he's right on target to be a 9lb baby. He measured at 7lbs4oz yesterday. I have a LOT of amniotic fluid though---so I'm going to discuss that with the doc today at my 38 wk appointment. It measured at 22, but "dangerous high" is considered 25, so I'm not too too worried about it.
It's definitely very uncomfortable to walk, stand, bend, etc...these days, but I'm just so happy to have made it to this point. At least I can walk around again now and enjoy life a little...instead of being home-bound and bored out of my mind!
It sounds like we're going to have a few more early birds for February! I still can't believe it's almost here! Time really flew by.
Congrats again to our new Mom's (even though you're technically January Mommies....you're still a part of our group!!!) And good luck to everybody here.

Ladies,
Any of you having issues with your legs? Mine just are very weak the past couple of days. Swollen ankles of course, but I mean my legs as a whole almost feel like they're not going to be able to hold me up. They're so tired....is this normal?

I haven't had any swelling. There are 32 stairs to walk up to my house and my house is 4 stories so I do a lot of stairs. After My legs feel like jelly a lot and like they are going to fall off. I think its just added baby weight and everything expanding and stretching in the pelvis region that makes our legs feel weird.
