Every day is a new adventure!

I am going to talk to Dr H about the Evenign Primrose Oil. Last trip to L&D, my fFN was stil negative, but I was a fingertip dialated and my cervix length went from "long" to "normal" so I guess it is shortening.

He is in position (super-comfy walking with a head down there!) and is measuring big. So at 36 weeks maybe I'll get her on board for the EPO Chat Icon Not that I want him to come early in a dangerous way, but I am sooooooooo ready, and the contractions are starting to annoyChat Icon

FYI: EPO will NOT induce labor.... It works with your body to ripen your cervix. If your body is NOT ready to start "ripening" the EPO will do nothing!!! If your body is starting the EPO will just help fascilitate it!

Mine was stored in our attic, and we had the insulation ripped recently so I got grossed out. Even though it was in the box AND had a plastic bag around it I am a germophobeChat Icon

You can rent the cleaners from the supermarket. They are $30 a day I believe. I have one (have to with 5 dogs and fabric chairsChat Icon ), but I just use nature's miracle and hot water to steam the fabric. It worked really well & smelled really good when I was done!

I think a hand steamer would work equally as well.

Ugh, when does
'nesting" come? I just don't want to do anything! When I get home from work I cook, clean up a little and then jsut want to go on the computer!

I still have to:

pack my bags

Order furniture (ORDERED 4 MONTHS AGO CAME IN LAST WEEK DAMAGED, ETC).

Have DH finish painting, shelving baby's closet so I can put everything away.

Wash baby clothes (though I don't know where I'll put them (no dresser).

In my head, I can't do the washing clothes, etc. bc of the closet and furniture....

ugh sooo much to do.

I guess I should get to work instead of just complaining about it Chat Icon

BTW: Due Feb 7thChat Icon

Mine was in the attic too.. and dont remember if I put up their before or after my father had the roof redone.. plus it was only in the bag, not a box.. it was my sisters and she gave to me when i had dd.. Im going to look into get the steamer this week.. Im too a germaphob.

eta: also Even primrose oil.. my OB said not to start until 37 weeks. He didnt even check to see if my cervix was ready for.. but I guess just the fact of reaching 37 weeks is enough.

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

I dont think i've started nesting yet.
I am too tired to do any 'nesting'

we are starting to get baby gifts and it is so much fun! We just have no where to put anything since the baby's room is not done yet!

I have been crampy since Friday. I'm starting to wonder if this is ok. It is on and off cramping and the cramping is worse at night. Anyone else experiencing this?

My due date is Feb 18- a valentines baby would be nice....

I think since it is snowing i'll put the glider together. i have been procrastinating about this for weeks. Dh said i might as well do SOMETHING.. he has been doing everything else!

Thanks so much for your suggestion! I washed the parts that could come off easily but the shade part was too tough to wash. The steamer worked perfectly!

Yes Ive been cramping alot lately. Yesterday at work i was super uncomfortable.. soo much pressure on my vaj.. that it felt like an arm sticking out.. and soo much cramping. Still today I feel this way but not the arm anymore. Spoke with my sister about a bit ago b/c didnt remember this with last pregnancy. She said its normal just probable the babys head descending more and pelvis opening up.

I was praying all day yesterday and today baby doesnt come today... Today is the 7th anniversary of my mothers death.. and dont want my baby born on this day.

Im due around the same time as you, im the 15th of feb. Hoping for a valentines baby too.

Yeah for Cramping!!! Our bodies are getting readyChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

The other day my back cramps were so bad I thought that was it but I rested all day and they faded.

Now I just have random contractions.

I go in Feb 2nd at 12:30pm for my c-section!!! I can't wait to meet her already.

I have been having nightmares that there are terrible things wrong with her. I did the same with Andrew. It is soo scary.

We can be due date twins!!! I'm going into the hospital at 9:00pm on 2/1 to be induced. The Dr. told me either way (vag delivery or c/s) I will be delivering Chat Icon on 2/2!

Although the way I've been feeling lately, I'm actually wondering if I'm going to go before then.

I have another growth sono tomorrow so we'll see how much she's grown in the past week.

No I am still working and VERY restless! I still have until Feb 7 (EDD), but feel like it HAS to come early.

I am also cramping/contracting (braxton hicks - I guess?). Is anyone feeling anything stronger than braxton hicks?

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

ok GREAT! I'm so glad everyone is having cramping.. I know it is uncomfortable but at least that means progress. I was about to call the dr today!

last night the cramps were awful that i couldnt get comfortable in bed!

Today is a new day, the cramps are on and off and not as severe. I'm going to try and stay as hydrated as possible.

yesterday i was feeling handy and put together the glider and ottoman together all by myself! I'm so proud! Today, while dh is painting the molding, I'm going to try and put the dresser together. go me!!!!

I hope everyone has a nice day!!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hmmmmm no cramping for me???? I hope that doesn't mean I'll go late, although at this rate I probably would love and extra week Chat Icon

We did A LOT of work this weekend. We bought our house 18 months ago, its an OLD 110 year old 4 story Victorian house and it was a disaster. The closets are almost done. We had to unpack one of the guest bedrooms and set it up for our home visiti on Wednesday because My midwives don't wnat me going up and down the stairs to use the bathroom for a few days and our bedroom and nursery are on the 4th floor with no bathroom so we will be setting up a temporary bedroom on the 3rd floor.

I feel like CRAP today, probably from moving so much stuff around and I didn't sleep well last night. I feel like it one way everything is goign to get done but another minute like there is no way!

I feel like a ticking time bomb since I have no idea when this LO will come out!!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hey Ladies! We are almost there!!! I'm so glad to hear everyone is feeling well...well, as well as we can at this point...no cramping here, just the occasional back spasm...which I hear is a contraction..Yikes!...sleep is less and less here...was up from 4-8 lastnight...fun...so we are finally getting things together..over the weekend we got some of the last things we needed from bru..stroller, carseat, sheets...and we ordered our glider and I ordered our summer monitor from amazon lastnight...got the best deal! its 210 vs 299(bru) on amazon for the the complete coverage set with 7"lcd and handheld...the only catch is it may come in a month...but thats ok because DC will be sleeping with us in our room till about 3 months anyway...so all thats left is me packing my bagChat Icon ...and the final bedding decision, which we will buy after the baby is born...so feel well today girls and keep the updates coming!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hello everyone. I'm pretty new to posting to this site, although I have used it as reference throughout my pregnancy. I'm due 2/7, and will deliver at LIJ. I don't know the sex of our baby. Glad to know that the aches and pains are pretty normal, as is the stress of making sure everything is done!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

So close and yet so far! I had my growth sono yesterday and the baby is measuring about 8 1/2 pds! My DD was only 6 10 so this quite a shocker. He also said I had a lot a good fluid so I am hoping when this baby is born that means quicker weight lossChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I am hoping that we hold out until Feb and there is no reason to think I will go early but somehow I think I am for some reason. I am really enjoying my time home with my DD even though I can't do much.

Good luck to our first ladies to go!!! I am not due to Feb. 12 so I am hoping to stick around a bitChat Icon
