5of clubs- BEAUTIFUL Pics, thanks for sharing!

Happy Monday Ladies!!

5 weeks to go, oh my goodness. I'm starting to get nervous.

I'm reading all of your other posts and it seems i'm not the only one unprepared.

The baby's room is STILL not complete. The furniture is still not put together. my glider is sitting in pieces in our 3rd bedroom.

oh well, it will get done right?

I have a feeling i'm going to go early- maybe because everyone says i'm going to, but deep down I think i'll go to my induction date (hopefully 2/19 or 2/20).

My weight gain is at an all time high i'm not even going to post it. Chat Icon Chat Icon

We go for our 35 week appt this wed. Will I get an Internal or strep b test?

How is everyone else doing?

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

We are in the home stretch girls. I have 4 weeks from today until my scheduled c section date of feb 12th. Im starting to extremely nervous and have all the new mommy nightmares. I have a feeling i will be going early though as i just dont feel right and i feel a little off (maybe that is due to the lack of sleep) My shower is this Saturday coming up and im really looking forward to seeing my friends considering i have been on bed rest and trapped inside. Hospital bag is packed, nursery pretty much done i guess i just dont know how to go about organizing all these cloths especially since his aunt gave us so many as well. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon We have our 2nd growth sono on wed then 35w5d appt on thurs. So is anyone else freaking out about the delivery process. I know i am about the csection considering i have never had surgery in my life. Well I hope everyone is hanging in there.

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

5ofClubs - Gorgeous pictures, you look great!!!

I can't believe my counter says 27 days!

36 weeks today, had my first of weekly growth sono's this morning. Baby is head down, which I expected given all my new aches and pains in the vag area lately! She is growing right on target, and is measuring at 5lbs 14oz, puttng her in the 36th percentile.

I have my 36 week OB appointment on Friday and will talk to my Dr. more about their plans to induce me the week before my due date. Because of the GD, my Drs. practice doesn't let GD mommies go to their due date. But given how the baby is growing well, and my blood sugars are under control, I'm wondering if she'll let me go till my due date. But I really feel that my little girl has other plans and will be coming early.

I finally packed my bag the other night. It's 95% completed, I just have last minute items to put in there.

We're in the home stretch ladies!

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hi soon to be mommies!! Time is coming quickly!!

Had my 35 week chk up yesterday.. My docs office just got the 3D sono machine. I was soo excitted.. but the tech was super crankie and annoyed. I had an apt scheduled and she was behind and seems like I got the brunt of her anger. She first was snotty and goes "your 35 weeks.. thats too late for a 3D sono".. geez the doctor is the one who told me to have Chat Icon Then she was complaining the entire time and saying "no babys not working with us.. cant do"... so she did a reg. sono and still wasnt pleasant... so I got NO pictures.. I always get at least one picture. I was soo upset. But the bright side is I know baby is okay. I just wish I could have had a 3D picture, never had one done with my dd either. Oh well not meant to be I guess.

My Ob is going away for 2 weeks.. and starting my 1 week check ups now, so hopefully I dont go into labor.. Hes mentioned about being induced 2 weeks early but thinking im going to just see what happens on my own.
I started getting things ready, we got our bedroom ready, and bought new towels, wash cloths, pacis.. the essentials. just got to wash the car seat, bounce and swing covers and set them up and im already.

Feeling exhausted.. trouble sleeping at night .. anyone else?

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Whew....in the home stretch!!!

Nesting has kicked in big time!!!! I'm like a walking anxiety attack waiting to happen.

Our house looks like a BOMB has hit it! Nursery still isn't done. My dad is still sheetrocking two closets so we can get the babys closet ready. Our guest bedroom which I'm suppose to have set-up with a bed for the homebirth is filled with boxes and my midwife is doing my home visit late next week Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

On top of everything, I have my own company and buissiness has picked up BIG time so I'm juggling a million clients, I can't sleep cause i'm uncomfrtable and my brain won't shut off!!

My midwife was talkt to me about stuff to start doing once I hit 37 weeks to help "activate" labor so I don't go late and to try and avoid an induction and I started freaking out!!!

has your midwife mentioned anything to you about Evening Primrose oil? its a pill.. my Ob had me take with my last pregnancy and told me to start again at 37 weeks.

eta: its supposed to ripen a womans cervix.. Chat Icon My dd was born the day after my due date.. not sure if this actually had any effect on the actual labor tho.

OOh sciatica sucks, I've been going to physical therapy since 22 weeks for that!

If it just started the best thing is to take a hot shower tonight and try and stretch afterwards...usually its the position of the baby. If it doesn't go away, I'll try and find online instructions for som eof my PT exercises...let me know if you need them!

you can get them anywhere... i think I got mine at target in the vitamin section. I used them when I was TTC....FYI it helps to increase teh production of CM so I took them on CD1 until I ovulated and then stopped. I took them orally for TTC purposes and will start back on them orally and vaginally for labor purposes

Our nursery is not done yet either! We did paint it and the furntiture is in, but it's a mess in there and we have to start putting away shower gifts, organizing, moving furntiure and decorating...hopefully this weekend into next!!! I want everything done by next week...I'll be 36 weeks then and after that I'm sure I won't want to do anything!

My sleep is getting worse also. Actually the baby is starting to wake me up now with the kicks and jabs! Last night a few of them even hurt, I can't believe how strong he is getting now!!! Everything is starting to seem real, at 30 weeks I still felt like we had a lot of time left, now I really don't, I can't believe we are due next month already! Last night I was making my TO DO list before the baby. It's pretty long!

OH second and third time Mommys- I want to buy nursing tanks and bras for the hospital, how much bigger in size do you usually get, one cup larger? I really have no idea what size to get!!! Chat Icon

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Hello, haven't posted here in forever, but all is going ok. We were able to put up the crib two weekends ago and I have washed all the baby's clothes. I have organized and reorganized the baby's closet. I feel really restless. I know I still have a lot of time left considering I'm due at the very end of the month. My shower isn't for another four weeks, I have a funny feeling I'm not going to make it.

Happy early Birthday! Sorry about that nasty sciatica though- its horribleChat Icon

Beautiful pics Allison!

I go for my maternity shoot tomorrow at a local beach- luckily the weather is cooperating- we are in this amazing heat wave. It should be in the high 70's.

Other than having trouble sleeping, I feel really good. I am off of work for now too and its nice being home with my DD. 28 days to go!!!

Oh, and I have nothing really done either- I got dipes an wipes, bought a coming home outfit in case its a boy, but the linens for the bassinet and the cover have to hand-washedChat Icon I should be doing that now instead of on here!

Hang in there ladies- we are almost there!Chat Icon

Re: NEW February Mommies to be Thread!!

Every day is a new adventure!

I am going to talk to Dr H about the Evenign Primrose Oil. Last trip to L&D, my fFN was stil negative, but I was a fingertip dialated and my cervix length went from "long" to "normal" so I guess it is shortening.

He is in position (super-comfy walking with a head down there!) and is measuring big. So at 36 weeks maybe I'll get her on board for the EPO Chat Icon Not that I want him to come early in a dangerous way, but I am sooooooooo ready, and the contractions are starting to annoyChat Icon

Other than that we took the co-sleeper out of storage & had it steamed, and got all the NB clothes ready for this little guy!Chat Icon
