New mommy here... joining the parenting board!
Hi! Our little girl was born on August 13th at 7 lbs. 14 oz and 20.5 inches. I had such a great labor and delivery experience (here's a short version) and she took to breastfeeding right away. She's almost a week old now and it's amazing being a mommy, we are just so in love with her.
I'm probably going to have a ton of questions in the next few weeks, but I have a few now about breastfeeding and pumping. I'm EBF right now but I want to start pumping soon too.
When do you pump?
She's feeding every 2.5-3 hours now so i'm not sure if I should pump in between? Any pointers or websites would be so helpful!

I pumped and did formula and now formula so I can't help, but good luck and enjoy!!

Congratulations! I had to start pumping when DS was 2 days old and in the NICU. Once we were home, I gave him bottles when he was really hungry and frustrated with BFing , but then I stopped after a while b/c it was affecting his latch. If things were different, I don't think I would've introduced a bottle until DS was 3 or 4 weeks old.
What is your reason for pumping? My answer may be different depending on your needs. I pumped to build a freezer supply for going back to work. I pumped for 15 minutes after the first morning feeding since that's when your supply tends to be greatest. I had a pretty good supply and didn't need to pump more than once per day.

congrats!! we were on liw together, i def remember you..
i would wait alil until youre milk really comes in well and establishes itself before pumping..maybe 2-3 weeks..take a look at the top post on page one, its a breastfeeding support thread that i started when i first had my dd, since i had SOOOOOO many questions about it..
i read on pregnancy that you were having a very easy time of it, so thats the first great accomplishment!!
