Re: New York Housewives Countess LuAnn & Husband Separate
I'm really not shocked by this. On the show it didn't seem like they had a solid relationship. He was always away on business and she was always doing her own thing. They were basically leading separate lives. The fact that Luann is the Count's 4th or 5th wife just seemed like it was bound to happen that they would eventually go their separate ways.

It's really hard to say how their marraige was based on what we see on TV. That is such a tiny cross section to any of their lives. The marraige couldn't have been all bad if they were married for 16 years. I feel bad that she has now go through this publicly.

ITA! I felt like they never showed him because he didn't seem that interesting.. not because of anything having to do with their relationship. We don't see Jill's husband that often this season either and I wouldn't think anything of it, KWIM?
It's such a sad thing to have to go through.. and especially in the public eye.

Re: New York Housewives Countess LuAnn & Husband Separate
wow! what would be the correct way for the "regular" people to address her as now?
"i would like for you to meet the FORMER Countess, Luanne Delesseppes"
and do you think her pizza delivery is going to be slower when its delivered to "just Luanne"??

And how should Clever address her the next time Bethaney has him pick her up?

I don't think they showed her husband b/c 1: he travels frequently and 2: I don't think he truly cared to be on the show. Being on TV is LuAnn's thing. Based on what you read of LuAnn, she's trying to make a name for herself in other areas and RHONYC was/is a great vehicle to do it.
As for a 16 yr marriage....that means squat. Some of the worst marriages I have ever seen went on for over 40 yrs.
You guys are right in that this show gives us only a small glimpse into their lives, but I would not be shocked if LuAnn knew about his relationships outside the marriage.

I feel bad for the kids, but I felt bad for them before this anyway.
I am surprised everyone is so shocked-he is never ever around. The only time she seems to mention him is when she is mentioning her title.

Thank you both for saying exactly what I was thinking!
I think you're spot on.

The Count has appeared in 2 episodes that I've seen. He supposedly told her via email that he's been seeing an Ethopian woman and that it's serious. I wonder if she will keep the Hampton House. I feel bad for Noel & Victoria.

Honestly I do not feel bad for her at all! If she did not see this coming a mile away she had blinders on!!! She is so full of herself... really she needs to just get over herself with her "I am better than you" attitude. Money doesnt = class!!!

exactly. The only ones I feel bad for are the kids, they didn't ask for this. She chose to be on national TV, good and bad.

Which leads me to believe that a lot of our opinions are based on the editing that gets done on that show.
Yes, the material needs to be there to flesh out that character but I also think we don't ever get to see anything more than what the show's producers and editors want us to see.
