Newborn Dry Skin....
my son is 5 weeks old tomorrow. i bathe him every few days. for his body i use Aveeno calming wash (lavendar and vanilla) and for shampoo i use regular johnsons shampoo. the only problem is that his scalp gets so dry.
does anyone use a moisturizing shampoo? if so, which one?

Re: Newborn Dry Skin....
DD was using Johnson Shampoo and she had the same problem. I ask the pediatrician and she recommended to use Aveeno Wash & Shampoo (purple bottle). She's been on it since and no more dry scalp.

My pediatrician had recommended Head and Shoulders and that cleared it right up!

Re: Newborn Dry Skin....
Ive used aquaphor bodywash on my son from day one - it's amazing and doesn't irritate or dry out his skin.
Sometimes I use Johnsons and it only irritates him.

Re: Newborn Dry Skin....
DD is almost 5 months and still gets a bit of dry skin where her forehead meets her hairline. When we see it starting again, we rub the area with a bit of baby oil and then shampoo it out. Works like a charm!
