Newborn to Toddler Bath
Ok, maybe I'm dense - but I don't get how it works. I took out the sling so Ryan can sit in it but does he now go on the other side? He' not sitting up on his own yet- but i feel like no matter where I position him, the plastic piece is up his arse. This one I mean:

I'm not sure which one you have, the one with the slanted side and the straight side? I always used the slanted side before she could sit up. The plastic piece stops them from sliding all the way down.

Its actually written on the tub as to which side you put them on.
After the sling you put them in the reclining side. The sloping side. Once he can sit up on his own you can switch to the other side.

Re: Newborn to Toddler Bath
I have that one!
I think I left the sling in for way too long. After I took the sling out, I put her on the slanted side. Now she's on the straight side and has been there for about a month. I was nervous about putting her on the straight side but she loves it. She can sit and play with her toys forever in there.

Re: Newborn to Toddler Bath
There's so little room on the slanted side to fit his butt.

His butt can't be that big! When I put DD in there her butt rested up against the part that sticks up in the middle and her legs went across it. Her legs still go over the middle part now that she's on the other side.

I have this one...I took the sling out months ago. I layed him on the slanted side...his butt was sitting against the hump thing. I actually just bought a bigger tub yesterday because I feel he's to big for this one now.

What did you buy? DD is enormous! We're running out of space for water.

Re: Newborn to Toddler Bath
I had the same problem with my DD and this is what I use. I'm actually still using it now at 18 months. It is GREAT!!!
They sell it at most places, but I got it at BBB.

This was my exact problem...he was hardly in any water. If I filled it to cover him it would rise up so high and if he kicked his legs the slightest bit there were like waves of water pouring out...lol. This is the one I bought...

This one looks great, does it fit in your kitchen sink or do you need to use the regular bathtub for it. IM not ready to start the whole knee thing...

Re: Newborn to Toddler Bath
I have the same one - until she could sit on her own, I would place her butt in the "crook" of the slanted part, with her laying on the teal part...her legs would hang over the hump....
Once she could sit up, I switched to her sitting in the straight part with her feet against the teal part...

It doesn't fit in my sink. I was thinking about using it on the kitchen floor with some towels underneath. We ripped out our tub and put a big walk in shower before I got pregnant so I can't go that route. I could put it on the floor of the shower too I guess.

Re: Newborn to Toddler Bath
On the slanted side my DD's butt was actually leaning on the little arch. once I moved her to the straight side her legs go over it.

Never heard of that! I need to get that. I've been bathing DD in the big tub since forever - I think I only bathed her in the sink 3 times her whole life - and my knees are killing me.

Well I'm going to BBB today - if you want me to pick it up for you I can bring it to work tomorrow and do a hand off since you're across the street
