not to be mean, but i dont get why TTC'ers are always upset when someone gets pregnant. i can see why there would be jealousy, but the things some people say blow me away.
i am happy for her.
There are MANY of us TTC'ers that are dealing with infertility (myself included) and this is what I said in the other Nicole Richie thread:
Unless I missed it, I don't think anyone came right out and said she didn't deserve to be pregnant. From someone that is also dealing with IF issues, (and I'm totally NOT playing the victim), it's hard to digest seeing someone (anyone... celebrity or not) that is not trying to get pregnant get pregnant just like that, when there are those of us, that eat, sleep and breath our lives around getting pregnant, that simply cannot. I'm happy for anyone that is blessed with the miracle of having a baby, I truly am. But yes, sometimes it's hard to NOT have that "why not me" when I'm doing everything in my power to live a healthy lifestyle for the sole purpose of bringing another life into this world. JMO....

and i'm not even necassarily talking solely about tHIS thread, i've just seen it very often in the past. mainly when it comes to celebs.
but there are other things too i see ppl throw in there.
dont get me wrong, i feel bad for peoples' misfortunes and cant imagine how frustrating, stressful and depressing it must be to TTC and have nothing come of it. i mean it.
i am just saying sometimes people say stuff that really shocks me that i think is very unnecassary.

I'm not jealous, nor will I ever be jealous of someone getting pregnant. I am more than happy for someone when they do get pregnant. Am I envious? Of course. Would I like to be in their position? No doubt. But I don't think anyone here, TTC or not, said that she doesn't "deserve" to be pregnant. What I think people are saying is that she needs to straighten up her act, and hopefully this is just the thing to do it.

I completely understand where you are coming from. From spending alot of time on the IF board and the TTC board, the majority of the women that remark on these types of threads (not this one in particular) are for the most part the TTCers that are having difficulty.
I wish N.R all the best in the world and truly hope that she seizes this opportunity to live a healthy life for herself and her unborn child. I do agree with you that there are sometimes comments that are truly out of line and completely unecessary.

I'm not TTC.
My reaction was based on the fact that:
1 - She isn't married.
2 - Was unlikely to be trying to get pregnant when she got pregnant.
3 - Is EXTREMELY unhealthy both psychologically & medically speaking. (and to anyone responding that I don't "know" her, being in & out of rehab for cocaine, heroin & eating disorders qualifies this statement alone.)
4 - is facing charges that may land her in jail.
I hope the baby is healthy & that she straightens out. But you can't say that this is "fair" in any sense of the word if you know anyone who has dealt with miscarriages, infertility or worse a baby with a health problem & think otherwise.
