Night 1 CIO = Success
Ok... after all this CIO discussion I had to go through with it.
Mason is almost 11 months so he's not an infant anymore. He did STTN perfectly fine from 3.5 months till almost 10 months when he started teething. Well, the teeth are in and he has mommy and daddy trained to come in. No more!
Anyway... thanks to Meggo613 I got the Homedics Sound Spa Lullabye Sound Machine and let him cry.
I put him in his crib for bed at his usual time 7:30PM, turned on the music and light projector and left. He cried for a half hour and I went on the treadmill (I had to take the monitor b/c DH is a wimp and would run upstairs). After almost 40 mins of on and off crying and walking around the whole crib a million times I went in and just gave him a couple of oz of his bottle. He layed down totally on his own, listened to the music and as I watched in the monitor he put himself to sleep. Got up at 5:45AM (did not get up once last night ) He played while I showered and got ready for work. Let's hope it works tonight!

Re: Night 1 CIO = Success
YAY!!! I had to CIO with Alexa last night too. She used to go to bed for over a yr at 5:30pm until 7:30am. Then all of a sudden the past week or so she won't go to bed at all!!!!!!!
I gave up and thought maybe CIO will work for her (it didn't for my DS). I let her cry for 45 mins and as I was on my way up there to give in, she fell asleep
Good Luck tonight
