I love that they are back...it reminds me of a time when I didn't have sooo many things to worry about except saving $$ for the next issue of BOP so I can get their centerfold pic...
My bestfriend and I were complete "blockheads" and being able to go to their concert 20 years later together is great...
I don't think they have anything to be embarrassed about...OBVIOUSLY people want to see them...the pre-sale tickets sold out sooo fast and they are the topic of coversation all over the media outlets...
I'm excited...and I'm not embarassed to say it

I was a fan back in the day. I had posters and those giant pins, a collector's cup from McDonald's, books, T-shirts, and of course all of their albums including the Christmas special. Jordan was my favorite.
Was.
Now I'm past it, waaaaaaaaay past it. Good for them if they want to reunite and try to make it big again, this generation of young girls might enjoy them as much as we did. But now, as an adult, I really have no desire to hear their songs or see them again. My taste has changed, in more ways than one. Maybe I just wasn't that big of an NKOTB fan to begin with, but honestly I just have no interest in them anymore.

I am def going to see them. Not sure how I will feel about any new music they come out with but i am excitied to hear the old stuff
eta - although i am not sure how those songs will sound since they are grown men now

I am really happy this was posted. I was a huge NKOTB fan--when I was TWELVE. I went to see them in concert twice (cried and the whole bit,) had my room plastered with posters, fantasized about meeting them, wrote them letters, fought with girls over who was hotter-Joe or Donnie, and did some other really embarrassing stuff which I still have trouble living down until this day. In fact, just this past winter, I had a fight with my brother b/c he kept bringing up my obsession with NKOTB at a family party. He was trying to embarrass me--and he DID. I almost died when I saw they were getting back together. I really wanted to bury that very uncool part of my past.

I was never a fan back in the day and have no desire to see them now! One of my friends offered to get tickets for a group of us and I felt bad saying no, but just don't see it.

I was a huge fan as a kid, but it's one of those "I can't believe I actually liked them" kind of thing....so I am not even looking forward to them getting abck together.

same here. I found them very annoying  the only 2 names I know are Jordan and donnie, have no idea who the others are.
I just didnt care for them, at all.
now onthe other hand, if you saw or heard me at the bon jovi concert a few months ago

I was a HUGE NKOTB fan in the early 90s. I mean HUGE like go to Boston and see their homes, meet up with other fans from all over the place, etc..I met them many times,nice guys, blah blah but funny thing is, I never really thought their music was great. I just thought Donnie Wahlberg was hot and I still do, so yes I am going to see them. My musical taste has always been with bands like Led Zep, Stones, Rush, Pink Floyd and the like. Still is, which still baffles me as to why I got so obsessed with NKOTB! I am no longer obsessed, and I am not embarassed for them, they are loaded with $ and a few of them have still pretty successfully worked in movies and tv after the New Kids broke up, like Donnie and Joey. Jon chose to stay out of the public eye due to panic attacks.
I was pretty shocked that they reformed, I never saw it coming.

my sister and i have tix to go see them at nassau coliseum and i swear we're probably gonna rock the side ponytails and neon nail polish.
Same here!!! But my sister and I did see them when I was 12 and she was 9. Now we are going at the ages of 30 and 27! I never claimed to like their music that much, I just think they are HOT!
To each their own!

Same here! I was 8 or 9 when they were really popular. They remind me of being young & having innocent crushes on boys & being silly with my girlfriends & I love that I am able to relive that even for just 3 hours!

LOL, I am glad you posted this because I was wondering the same thing yesterday!! I was never that into them when they were popular (I was in 3rd grade, but just didn't get the hype ). It should be an interesting concert though!!
