No matter how I personally feel about the candidates
I have never been so proud to be an American as I am today!
we have the first black presidential candidate
and a republican chose a woman as a running mate
no matter how I feel about Obama or McCain, I have to say that as a nation, we have come a LONG WAY! history in the making...

that is very true!
we have come so far as a nation. we still have a long way to go, but to have a black man and a woman finally on the ballot----awesome!

I agree. It is great to see these changes. I wouldn't have thought it possible before Bush.
I also think it's great to see so much passion for the candidates. I remember previous elections where most people I spoke to really didn't care or didn't think their vote mattered.

I have never felt more excited about my right to vote as this year! I was just thinking this today.
Also I had so many things to do in my classroom but I put up my election bulletin board already. I can't wait to educate my students about the election. It's going to be an exciting year!
