DD was baptised at 9 months we did it a bit late...but I was able to save money for a big event...lose some weight..and take my time planning
HAHA! This but barely lost weight lol...also my DD was 10 mos. and born in September. I didnt want to do a winter Baptism and we wanted to do a Big party in a catering hall. It turned out great!

Re: Normal age to baptize/ christening
= 7 months = 9 months
I do feel that people in LI are more religious than where I am from originally and tend to do it much earlier. My DC were always the oldest of the bunch but I don't care - I did it mostly for my ILs as I don't believe in the whole purgatory thing.

Re: Normal age to baptize/ christening
ds will be 6 months. This all came about due to scheduling conflicts. I would have liked to do it while i was still on maternity leave

Normal age to baptize/ christening
I don't think there is a set age.
One of my nephews was adopted as a baby. He lived with my SIL and BIL for months and was 14 months old I believe when it became official. They were planning on getting him baptized after that but miraculously, my SIL became PG. Since we live OOS from them along with my IL's and other SIL, they waited until after my niece was born to do anything so we all wouldn't have to come down for 2 separate events so close together. By that time, my nephew was almost 3 and my niece was about 6 months.

Re: Normal age to baptize/ christening
There's no set age. I baptized my boys at around 3-4 months simply for the fact that I was on maternity leave and wanted to get as much as possible done during that time.
