Normal for baby's arms to tremble at times?
It's not seizure-like because her eye contact, etc, is normal...but sometimes I notice my 4-month-old's arms tremble a little. She's not cold, as far as I can tell. Is this just normal muscle/neuro development? It kind of reminds me of when her head used to be all wobbly.

This happens to DD if I pick her up too quickly after she wakes up. She's like a college kid that slowly needs to wake up and stretch... if I go in and grab her too soon, her arms shake uncontrollably...

You know, my DD's arms used to do this too. I was freaked out at first, but it stopped after she got a bit older.

Re: Normal for baby's arms to tremble at times?
Thanks, this is what I was thinking. I just scooped her up from the floor and let her belly "skim" the floor (in play) and she put her arm down as though she wanted to touch the floor, but it trembled a little. It's not always, just from time to time, but I'm going to mention it to doc at next visit. I'm sure she'll say it's nothing.

DD's arms do this sometimes too. First I thought she was having chills, but I don't think that's it. I never really worried about it, but let me know what your doctor says if you ask.

haha AJ would do that.. like she was so excited to feel a new sensation she had no way else to express it but to shiver. Not fear, just a reaction.
