Was induced Tuesday at 9:30 pm, delivered DD Wednesday at 5:42 pm, was discharged Friday morning and they let me stay until the afternoon because DH still hadn't set up any of the baby stuff yet  His brother had just passed away two weeks earlier and he was away until days before i delivered.

I had DS on a Thursday, earlt.....2:30 AM and was discharged Saturday morning.

I delivered wed at 4:15am, went home friday late morning (hospital had no set time or rush to discharge you).

I stayed 2 nights...
They didnt kick me out on the day i was to leave... I dont think i left until 4 or 5 pm!

Had my DD at 6:15 a.m. on Froday morning and came home from the hospital around 12:30-1 p.m. on Sunday

my DS was bron at 11:59pm that counted as day 1, then I stayed one full day left the next dayby 10am - but they said I can stay ill when ever I wanted to but I just wanted to go home

you get 2 midnights after you have the baby.
So if you push baby out at 11:57 pm, you lose a day. 12:01am and you get another day.

DS was born at 5:49 p.m. on Tuesday, and we were discharged early afternoon on Thursday, so it was less than 48 hours.

I had my baby on Monday morning and was discharged on Wednesday afternoon. I could have left on Tuesday if I wanted to but my insurance covers two nights so I took advantage of that. It gave me an extra day to work with the lactation specialist on the BF thing, Check with your insurance to see what they cover!
