Ok really what age does it just look like you're trying to be young with a little nose stud? What age is time to call it quits?

I don't judge. People have them for different reasons so why even worry about it

I loved mine. I had the tiniest little stud most people didn't even notice it. But I think I was around 26/27 when I started feeling too "old" for it lol

Re: Nose piercings
I took mine out in my 20's. I've seen women with tiny ones in their 50's and thought it looked cool. They are very artsy though and can pull it off!

Kaka and lipgloss junky - how long did it take your hole to close up or do you still have the hole there? I haven't been wearing mine but I think perhaps the hole looks worse...

It took a really long time to close up. Two years after I stopped wearing it I was still able to put it back in. I haven't tried to put it in for years but i still have a mark from the hole.

Re: Nose piercings
Im 46 and still wear a small silver stud. But I do what I like, not what other people like. Once "I" think it looks ridiculous I will take it out.

Re: Nose piercings
Some people can really pull it off. Not sure that there is an age that it stops looking good... now, belly button rings... you gotta hang that up at a certain age! I can't imagine, say, my mom having one lol

Re: Nose piercings
I think it depends on a lot of factors.
People is south asia and africa will wear them forever and they look amazing. Just beautiful and a part of the culture.
If you're a cool chick who dresses interesting or more countercultural it can also look great.
That being said. I think your average 30 something, living in the burb's would look pretty silly with one. IMO.

Re: Nose piercings
it totally depends on the person. I think a little stud can be really cute. A ring is never cute IMO.

Re: Nose piercings
this is totally subjective - if piercing is your 'thing' - I don't see how you can really put an age limit on it. I think of it like tatoos, and tatoos aren't coming off ..........
I'm totally conservative when it comes to this stuff - I'm not a fan of peircing or tatoos so when I personally see someone over the age or 18 getting it done I'm like "WHY would you do that at your age?"
But that's me - I have a stick up my tush when it comes to that stuff -

I think that's the key.

Re: Nose piercings
I don't think there's an age where you need to give it up.
If you're done with it, you're done with it. If you're still digging it, you're still digging it...like everything else in life :)

Re: Nose piercings
In my opinion, if you have the right attitude/style for it, you can pull off a nose piercing at any age.

Re: Nose piercings
My girlfriend has a nose ring and we are in our 30s. She wears a small stud as we are in the finance field. I think she wears it well and it never crossed my mind that she's too "old" for it.

IMO it's got more to do with personal style, which may or may not evolve as you age, as opposed to just age. I would have looked stupid with one at any age because my style has always been very preppy/conservative.

I'm 31, work in a professional environment, and still love mine. It's a tiny stud. When I get to the point that I'm over it I will take it out. Even though its so small I feel weird without it.
