Not a good doc visit today
#1 - I have hardly made any progress since 36 weeks. Then, I was 90% effaced and was hearing that I may go early. Now I am still 90% effaced and about 1cm dilated.
#2 - My BP is all over the face, I have had dramatic weight gain (bringing my total gain to an ASTRONOMICAL #  )
and swelling.
There was no protein in my urine which is good - but the word "toxemia" was mentioned which scared me of course.
SIGHHHHHHHHH
**Forgot to add that I am 39 weeks **

I'm sorry about your appointment.
As for the little progress you've made, that is still more progress than some have had and you never know... you could end up going into labor tomorrow. 
What did they say about toxemia?
I know how discouraging it can be when you're at the end and just waiting to meet your little one.
If it makes you feel any better, i went today for my 38 week visit and after driving 40 minutes to get to my appointment, taking an extended lunch from work and having my husband take off from work to be there... they tell me the doctor had to go to the hospital for surgery and i had to reschedule.
