Not willing to nurse or bottle feed

I am struggling. Back to work for 4 weeks and my DC has been struggling the last few days. When I go to nurse him, he nurse in the early morning. When I try to nurse him any other time, he won't take. Sometimes, he nurses for a fe minutes looks around, gets distracted and stops nursing and starts fighting. I have been really patient - just trying to get him to take the breast again. My concern comes to the bottle. He is now doing the same thing with the bottle. He drinks until that initial hunger is met and then stops. My mom said it took him more than an hour to drink 4 oz. I was already concerned he wasn't drinking enough but now he is fighting the bottle. I don't know what to do....help.....Chat Icon

Re: Not willing to nurse or bottle feed

when did you first introduce the bottle to him? i stared with my son at 3 weeks and he takes 3/4 bottle and then wants to eb nursed. but some times he pushes out the nipple of the bottle. what i do is put him on a pillow an rock him a little bit while he takes it. seems to soothe him.

to me it sounds like nipple confusion. but if he is hungry he will eat so its not like he wont eat hes eating enough to satisfy hunger. is he crying after a blttle or boob?
