Also when we were at a baptism when DD was exactly 2 months old - she looked up at the ceiling in the church and had her first ever belly laugh for about 5 minutes straight. Got the hiccups too. Everyone was turning around to see what she was laughing at. She wasn't laughing at any of us
It's funny you say that. DS was cracking up at his Christening and he was staring into space. He was looking around at the ceiling and the altar and laughing. Everyone in church said that he was seeing the angels

I believe it. I know Kaitee sees her big brother. Her moblie has even turned on a few times on its own when she was crying and she calmed down and smiled at nothing above her!

I TOTALLY thought the same thing as your grandmother. Jordana used to do that when she was young- I figured that she saw my dad (who passed away 10 years ago) .

I believe it but not ghosts - they see angels. My grandmother used to say that whenever a baby smiled they were seeing angels - usually family members that had passed who were watching over the baby. .
I believe that. When we visited my Grandma I always felt like my Grandpa was there watching us.

I mentioned to my grandma that Logan often looks and nothing and smiles.
Her response:
"Well, that's because babies can see ghosts that adults can't see.
He's probably just looking at your grandfather or someone else who passed."
She was so matter-of-fact about it.
Now I get a little freaked when he smiles at nothing.
Does anyone else heard this or believe it's true?
I absolutely believe in this - Cailen ALWAYS, ALWAYS looks at this one corner of our living room and smiles like crazy!!!!
I know something is there - it makes me feel good that whoever it is, they make him very happy!!!!

Re: Now I'm a little freaked out...
Alex always used to smile & coo at a certain area in her room.
She was over my Mom's the other day, my Mom wasn't home yet, I was in my Mom's room w/ her, she turned to the hallway & waved "Hi" to no one!
To this day, our dog will go into Alex's room, sit in front of our glider, look up at it & wag his tail. We've also found him "play barking" in her room, always looking at the glider...So freaky. I like to think someone is watching over my "kids", but who knows...
