NPR: What is your experience with garage sales?

Meaning...have you had one, and was it worth it?

Did you make $$$, or was it a waste of your time?

I like doing them. I didnt make too much money. It's a lot of work, I'm sure being pregnant it will feel like double the work but when I had mine last year it was a nice day and my friend did it with me so we were just hanging out. As long as you dont expect too much, espcially this time of year you should be okay. You also need lots of patience.....something I definately dont have lately!

We have had a couple..The first time we had one we had some great stuff to get rid of, microwave, radio, Tv, Cd players, toaster, clothes, jackets, so we made a great amount of money, then as we had less good stuff, we made less. But every little bit it helps. We are going to have one in october and we now have alot of stuff we are going to get rid of, so we hope to do as good as the first one.
