Hmmmmm..depends....

let's just say you have a camping trip planned..and you have this neighbor that is going..but is too cheap to buy their own gear..so they always borrow your stuff...I'd buy this one to lend to themChat Icon

Not that this has ever happened mind you..Im simply speaking hypothetically.Chat Icon

Yes, I like that "gently used" feeling they have. New ones are just too sterile.

If I was buying it from a family member/close friend - maybe.

Otherwise - no.

Re: Spinoff to Garage Sales--Would you purchase

as long as it was washed on hot, I don't see the harm.

Good sleeping bags cost a lot, if I were getting a deal, I would buy a gently used on.

I have never even been camping, but I always lend my sleeping bag out to people...I just always wash it when its returned.

ETA: just reading through responese now... I am shocked that so many say no.

Don't you stay in hotel rooms? Atleast with a sleeping bag, you can wash it before you use it...but hotel linen...who knows!Chat Icon

I agree. I mean, I don't go to garage sales but when I had one people bought clothes and I don't see a sleeping bag (which can be washed) as any different.
