Nuby Straw sippy cups
There are so many rave reviews on here about them.
I cant even suck the milk up the straw, and DS gets frustrated.
Am I doing something wrong?
I bought three of them, and dont want to toss them, but the straw is extremely difficult.

He needs to bite the straw at same time to open the hole.. you dont just suck. squeeze the straw in your fingers and look into you willl see it open.

no, i hate them, i have no idea why anyone would use them. you have to bite on the straw and suck on it at the same time in order to get any liquid out. makes no sense to me!

DS never took to them. We switched to Munckin straw cups.
Although, I'm a freak, I don't put milk in the straw sippies b/c I feel like I can't get the straw clean enough, he uses regular sippies for milk. But that is just me being a freak, everyone else can handle it

I like the Playtex ones.
But I cant understand how is DS supposed to drink out of them when I cant?? (the Nuby ones)

B/c babies have a tendence to chomp down on things, I guess b/c teething. Only explanation I can think of

I only bought the nuby ones because they had a handle and ds has yet to figure out how to hold them without it... I actually prime the straw first and then he can do it

I tried these cups because I wasn't happy with the nuby ones, because a few people raved about them. While I liked that they didn't leak, DS wanted nothing to do with them. He didn't drink anything at all for 3 days while I took away his nuby cups. After the 3rd day with no liquid, I went back to nuby. He likes them. I will try these again someday though.

We use this one too, I prefer it to put together/clean and DS prefers it to drink.

I Love, love, love the Munchkin cups. I bought Nubys since they got great reviews, but they stink IMO. Leak all over the place (I got the no spill ones), DS winds up spraying milk all over since it collects in the straw a bit before going down again, and the last piece keeps getting lost or gunked up. I'm tossing them and getting more of the munchkins.

I love the Nuby cups. We have the munchkin ones too, but I still like the Nuby better. After your DC has used the cup for a bit, they won't have to bite the straw anymore, they can just suck.

Nina LOVES the Nuby straw cups. It took her a few tries to learn how to use it but now no problems. Also, take a knife and open up the hole a little, then they wont have to bite LOL.
