Nursery in a cape house
Hello- I don't post all that often but check in and read your posts from time to time all has been very helpful to me.
We live in a cape house w/ the doggie dormers in the front on the 2nd floor. The back of the house is not dormered. We are planning on putting the baby's room on the second floor. Does anyone have any pics they would share of their nursery in a house like this? Im getting nervous that a lot of the furniture I like won't fit
Thank you in advance! I really appreciate it.

We haven't painted yet, but here's our room. We don't have the dogears.
I did have to compromise because the furniture I really loved would not fit heightwise. But I really like the way this set fits. It fit much better than I thought it would in my head.

Thanks so much for sharing!! Who makes that crib? I'm just nervous I am going to hit my head each time I pick the baby up out of the crib.

Re: Nursery in a cape house
I have a levittowner style house in PA..i believe its a jubilee style. The upstairs has the slopes in both rooms.
we measured how high the floor to the slope was and went from there, which worked for the dresser/changer we bought. the crib wont be flush against a wall, but outward and it will be fine that way.
i dont have pics yet b/c nothing is assembled or painted yet..LOL

We have the same house (without the dormers) and have the Peyton Lifestyle Collection furniture from BBB. I have the crib right beneath the ceiling and it fits perfect where I wont hit my head. lol.

I am short so I wasn't worried about hitting my head, I was worried about hitting the baby's head. But since it has a sleigh bed type back, it ends up a little further away from the lower part of the slant.
It's Sorelle Tuscany Elite, I got it at BRU.

In this week's People magazine, there are pictures of Molly Ringwald's undormered upstairs nursery.
