nursery organization tips needed
I have searched online to find tips for organizing a nursery. Most results are all about decorating- I want the nursery to be cute of course but neatness and storage are the top 2 priorities.
I have an armoire( 2 drawers/ 3 shelves) and the dresser/changing table I also have a regular closet with a shelf across the top and a clothing rod.
What organizers would/ will you buy to help organize baby's stuff? Cubes? Hanging shelves? baskets? Image Attachment(s):

Re: nursery organization tips
We built a closet with shelves in the middle - and then three hanging racks on each side (totaling 6 racks)
The shelves in the middle each hold two canvas totes. The top and bottom shelf have two matching baskets.
In each tote I had when he was a newborn: Burp Cloths Meds, Soaps, other bathroom needs Shoes Hats Wash Cloths Bibs
In the baskets - One had diapers and the second had towels.
I also kept extra diapers on the floor in the closet.
In his armoire I have bins of books and a bunch of random things (frames, bath toys) - There are blankets on the top level in the armoire.
Hope that helps a little bit!
ETA picture - before he was born though! Image Attachment(s):

Re: nursery organization tips needed
I bought an organizer to hang on the side of the changing table. It is made by Munchkin and I bought it at Target. I also bought a storage unit that has fabric baskets in it for miscellaneous items. I also have a plastic basket that I am keeping her bath items in.

Re: nursery organization tips needed
I am trying to figure out how to best organize as well-- I am going to ask my friends with babies for their opinions when they come over to help. I think it depends on your set-up, etc.
For now, I am just going to set it up based on what I think needs to be accessible in certain areas.

Re: nursery organization tips needed
I got 3 large square baskets (large in surface area, but low in height) to put under the crib, they are REALLY helpful for storing extra bedding, baby's "next size up" clothing, and other odds & ends!

Re: nursery organization tips needed
Here are the pieces I have: In the changing table, I have shortsleeved ad longsleeved onesies in the top drawers, pajamas and one piece sleep & pays in the second drawer, and matching sets in the third drawer. In the cabinet part I have his extra diapers, extra wipes, medical kit, grooming kit, thermometers, etc.
I have this bin on top of the changing table. In it I have the things I use often - diapers, wipes, a&d ointment, baby lotions, powder, snot sucker, etc.
In the tall dresser, I had recieving blankets and burp cloths on top. Socks, hats, mittens, washcloths in second drawer. The other were empty for a while when he was a newborn but now one drawers has all his shoes and one has pants and long sleeved shirts.
Here's his closet. This was before he was born so it is not organized the same as this picture - but you can see the shelves and rods we have. I love this set up. I have outfits hanging on one rod, sweatshirts and jackets on one. In the bins I have sheet savers and sheets, bath stuff, and extra changing pad/boppy covers. The toybox is now removed from the closet and in its place is a hge basket - I have all his blankets in there. On the floor I have my extra diaper bags and a bin with outgrown clothes. On the shelves is his baby book, some unopened toys, shopping cart cover, boppy pillow, stuff like that.
I would recommend you get the bins like I have in his closet for the armoire. You will see, babies have so much little stuff!

Re: nursery organization tips needed
I looove the closet organizers, it has baby's clothing sizes...newborn, 3-6, 6-9, 12mons and so on. All his clothes are organized by size and so easy to find!!! I got it on the BRU website, unfortunately they don't sell them in the stores. I have a basket for his library, and I got the munchkin diaper orgazizer for all his changing needs. Hope this helps! XOXOXO BOTB

Re: nursery organization tips needed
I have pictures of the closet system in my pregnancy album. I am also getting one 6 drawer dresser and we'll have a tall book case where I'll have some baskets to hold little things like toys I guess. We have not bought any baby items yet and the shower won't be for another couple of months so there isn't anything set up yet but I think we really maximized the closet space for storage!
