Nursery Seating UPDATED: another question
What are you ladies planning to get or have gotten for the nursery? Rocking Chair, glidder, or regular sofa?? I really like this one piece from PBK and its ridiculous expensive....
ANOTHER QUESTION: Those of you who did not use it, did you breastfeed? Those who used their chairs did you breastfeed? I feel like this can also affect if you use the chair or not and I plan on breastfeeding
Thanks again

Nursery Seating
We have a recliner that my grandma had..just cleaned it up a bit. I NEVER use it. Honestly, I wouldn't spend the money on it at first in case you don't use it. I'm so glad we didn't buy one!!

I have a glider. I couldn't fit a sofa in that room even if I wanted to.
I have almost never used it by the way. Anytime DS woke up, I went into the living room so i could watch TV or something while he ate.

I got a glider but instead of spending hundreds of dollars I bought one off a parent off the parenting board for for $100. If I don't use it I won't feel guilty.

I'm using an armchair that was part of our 3 pc living room set. It's hardly ever been used.

Re: Nursery Seating
I don't have anything. I either brought him into to bed with me or went into the living room and sat on the couch. DS's room is kind of a small and a glider would have taken too much space.

I don't have one and am very happy about it. I don't have the budget or the space for a glider. Also, i wasn't sure what i'd do with it after DS got a little older.
We sit on the sofa in the living room for feedings.

Re: Nursery Seating
I'd love to get a big cozy rocking armchair. All the ones I like though are like $1k+ I will probably get a more reasonably priced armchair like from BBB or something.

Re: Nursery Seating
I thought I would be getting a glider, but after seeing some of these responses, maybe I won't need it? Now I'm on the fence lol

Nursery Seating
We registered for a glider and SIL and BIL bought it for us. I am SO excited to use it. SIL LIVED in hers. She would pump while sitting in it and always rocks my niece to sleep in it. It's their one on one time before my niece goes to sleep. I can't wait to use ours!!!!
EDITED: Also, some of the gliders are EXPENSIVE at BBB or BRU so when we bought SIL's glider we found something similar on Amazon and it was about $300 less. So do your research if you decide to get one.

The Poang chair from Ikea is a good cheap option. I do use the seating in DS's room, but to spend so much on a glider doesn't make sense to me since it is used for so short a period of time.

We had a glider for my DS and I barely used it. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on one!

Nursery Seating UPDATED: another question
I planned on breastfeeding but it didn't work out. I did it for the first week and did sit in it when feeding. However at that point we had it in the living room so it was nice to sit in and feed.

Re: Nursery Seating UPDATED: another question
I did not breastfeed. My sister, however, did and she did not have a glider, nor feel the need for one. So I think it just depends

Re: Nursery Seating UPDATED: another question
I finally got one for my third baby. I'm so glad I have it. It's nice to have the movement to help soothe and during breast feeding.
I got the Babyletto Madison swivel glider. It's perfect size for the small nursery. Not as comfy for falling asleep in but great for rocking and feeding baby.
