Nursing/Pumping once per day?
Is it possible to do this for a while? I started about a week ago only nursing DD at night b/f bed. B/c she sometimes falls asleep and doesn't nurse for that long I have been pumping after she finishes just to keep up my supply for that feeding and to freeze some. I was hoping to continue to do this for a while but, it seems that every night I am pumping less and less. Is this what happens? Is it not possible to maintain this? TIA!

i think it matters on how established your supply was before just going to one feeding
for the past 2 months i have been feeding just twice a day - but i had been nursing for 10 months before that - my supply was established
now i am doing once a day for about a week -and my supply seems good fom my son still a week later

I EBF DD for 6.5 months with no formula at all. Then at 6.5 mos until 7 mos she got one bottle of formula a day. at 7 mos I dropped another nursing and nursed twice a day for about a month. I've just started nursing once a day.
DD is definitely getting what she needs right now b/c I am puming right after nursing her and still getting milk. That said - I went from getting 3oz to 2oz in just a few days. I am wondering if it is goiing to keep dropping until it affects her? Also,I wanted tobe able to pump and continue to store some milk...
