Pumping breastmilk - how much in a day?
Just curious to see how much you ladies get when you pump in a day. I am working FT again and I pump 3 times a day at the office and get anywhere from 7-10 ounces total. Is that too little? I am wondering if my milk supply is getting low since I returned to work?

It depends on the time i pump. In the morning i pump and i get 8-9 ounces. in the afternoon i get about 5. how old is your baby? When DS was 8 weeks and I pumped I got less, so maybe it will increase.

He is exactly 8 weeks. Wow - you get 8-9 ounces in the morning??? And here I was thrilled when I would get 4-5.  Oh man... I wonder if i am slowing down???

in the am I get about 5oz from each breast, a little less on the right hand side. Then I pump again around 2/3pm and get about 4 oz both sides. I pump again around 7 and get 3oz on left, 2oz on right and then again at 11pm and I get 5oz each side.
ETA: at 8 weeks, I pumped a little less than I do now.

Oh wow. That is wonderful!!! Doesn't sound too good for me when the MOST I get is 2-2.5 ounces per breast.  I guess I should be pumping more? Would that help? I get so discouraged when all I get is an ounce.

I pumped every 2 hours and took fenugreek, it worked wonders to get my supply up.

It's almost impossible for me to pump every 2 hours while at work. I hsould have started while I was still on leave I guess. I never thought about it. Sorry if I sound stupid but what is fenugreek and where do you buy it? Thank you for your help!!!!! I really appreciate it!

I was just going to post to ask about Mother's Milk Tea!!! I will be heading up to Vitamin World right after work!!! THANK YOU!!!! Can I do the Mother's Milk tea and the fenugreek at the same time?

I think the Mother's Milk tea has Fenugreek in it already....I don't know what happens if you take too much Fenugreek....

ok im the norm here. i dont know why but my body produces alot of milk. i pump 3 times a day and in the am pump total of 22oz lunch time 12 oz and at night 20 oz. i free the extra but now my freezer and spare freezer are pack. i looked into donating the extra milk and am going through the screening process. i hate to throw it out if someone can use it. my son takes 5-6 oz every 3-4 hours and anything after that i freeze.
